Yes, there is such a thing as tire art.

According to the Rubber Manufactures Association, 273 million scrap tires were generated in 2000. That's the bad news. The good news is that many inventive people saw this as an opportunity to use these tires in new and innovative ways, and with amazing results. There are now about 110 products containing recyclable rubber on the market, which is a much better option than having tires wasting away in landfills. Below in our Tire Art Gallery you'll find a few examples of the creative ways that tires (and related car parts) are being recycled for a productive second life.

Please feel free to submit your work to our growing gallery, or drop us a line and let us know about other uses you've found for tires. Email pictures (preferably in jpeg format) or any comments to ronna@mrpstires.com
